THE Methodist Church in Fiji has opened one of its new departments to carry out disaster awareness and focus on climate change.
This move comes after the devastation by Severe Tropical Cyclone Winston on various parts of the country.
Secretary for Christian Citizenship and Social Services Reverend Iliesa Naivalu said the office would not only deal with post disaster relief and response, adding that it would put into place disaster risk reduction plans for future disasters.
