Fiji needs to 'adapt'

FIJIANS need to adapt to living without their cherished seafood and root crops if estimates by climate change specialists come true and sea level rises by a metre in the near future.

Minister for Health and Medical Services Jone Usamate said once it happened, a lot of our reefs would not be able to sustain fish.

Mr Usamate said Pacific Island countries such as Fiji needed to rally on conventions like COP21 and urge big developed nations to reduce their carbon footprints.
