Abstract:
The inception workshop of the EU-GIZ ACSE programme (component 1 of the overall EU ACSE programme) was held on 29 and 30 May 2014 at De Vos on the Park, Suva, Fiji.
The inception workshop was officially opened by the Fiji Permanent Secretary of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, Mr Amena Yauvoli. Also participating in the opening proceedings were the Head of the Infrastructure and Natural Resources of the Delegation of the EU for the Pacific, Mr Jesus Lavina; the German Agency for International Cooperation (GIZ) Portfolio Manager for the Philippines and the Pacific, Mr Philipp Quitmann; the Pacific Islands Forum Secretariat Natural Resources Adviser, Mr Ryan Medrana and the Ambassador of the Peoples Republic of China to Fiji, His Excellency Yong Huang.
