Marshall Islands foreign minister Tony de Brum slams Australia's proposed 2030 carbon emissions targets

The Marshall Islands has strongly criticised Australia's 2030 emissions reduction target, saying if the rest world followed Australia's lead, vulnerable nations would disappear.

In a statement, minister of foreign affairs Tony de Brum said "the Great Barrier Reef would disappear ... so would the Marshall Islands and other vulnerable atoll nations".
