THE leaders of the world were out of their seats, giving the Mua Voyagers a standing ovation as we took the stage of the Opening Plenary yesterday.
We didn't know what to feel. People such as climate change warrior, Kiribati President Anote Tong, leaders that I have looked up to for years, were applauding us. It was the accumulation of thousands of nautical miles, nights of cold watch shifts, lots of laughs and excitement and a little apprehension.
