ISLAMABAD: Experts at a day-long journalists workshop on climate change have urged the Pakistani media to mainstream the issue of climate change not just as an environmental issue but as a development and economic challenge.
The workshop titled “Taking Pakistan to COP19” was organised on Thursday on the eve of the UN Climate Change Conference (COP19). It was organised by LEAD Pakistan and Heinrich Boll Stiftung (HBS) as an awareness session for media to inform them about the importance of this forum for Pakistan, and how to report on it. The 19th Conference of the Parties (COP19) will be held from November 11 to 22 in Warsaw, Poland. Delegations from all over the world including Pakistan will attend the conference.
