Video (English with English subtitles) - This video details how Timor-Leste's communities, together with scientists and local organisations, worked with the Australian Government's Pacific Adaptation Strategy Assistance Program to protect it's groundwater resources against Climate Change. The people of Timor-Leste, like many Pacific countries, depend heavily on groundwater supplies for cleaning, cooking and growing their crops. Timor-Leste worked with the Australian Government's Pacific Adaptation Strategy Assistance Program (PASAP) to: assess the vulnerability of groundwater supplies to climate change impacts, produce a national plan outlining how to collect, categorise, map and monitor groundwater, map aquifers and help improve development planning and implement training programmes for monitoring and analysing groundwater data and maps.
