IJI is a member of the Vulnerable 20 (V20) — a group of 20 countries which have been designated by the World Bank and International Monetary Fund as being at most risk to climate change.
And with this new membership, Fiji is calling for new global arrangements to make it easier
For vulnerable countries such as Fiji to obtain funding to adapt to extreme weather events like Severe Tropical Cyclone Winston.
This call was made by the Attorney General and Finance Minister Aiyaz Sayed-Khaiyum at the second ministerial dialogue of the V20 Group of Finance Ministers in Washington DC.
