The typhoon warning centre in Guam says there is no link between climate change and Super Typhoon Haiyan that devastated parts of Palau last week before going on to cause the major calamity in The Philippines.
The US National Weather Service in Guam says Haiyan, the strongest typhoon in many years was typical of typhoons that are generated in the northern Pacific.
