AS an island state, Fiji cannot afford to be ignorant of its environment when contemplating developments within the country.
This was highlighted by Minister for Transport Pio Tikoduadua at the opening of the 13th Fiji National Transport Consultative Forum, adding while development in Fiji's transport sector is important, environmental impacts must be minimised.
