No one has a monopoly on new ideas. The UN ambassador for Samoa Afioga Aliioaiga's phrase was echoed at a recent climate change and disaster preparedness meeting in Nadi, Fiji.
David Sheppard in his opening statement at the Joint Meeting of the 2013 Pacific Platform for Disaster Management & Pacific Climate Change Roundtable echoed this quote.
