Positive trends emerging on ambition and long term goals

8 December, 2015, Paris, France, COP21 - Some positive trends have started emerging from the informal consultation on ambition, long term goals and periodic review, led by Norway and St Lucia.

However, some Parties have held on to their positions without moving, reported the two ministers, Tine Sundtoft from Norway and James Fletch...er from St Lucia.

“For instance, a significant number of developed and developing country Parties, including the most vulnerable, indicated their willingness to explore language referring to the 1.5 °C limit, recognising that it is essential to the most vulnerable countries, or using language that could serve to operationalise this limit.
