Pacific island countries met 24-26th February in Tongaat a regional forum for National Designated Entities (NDEs) under the Climate Technology Centre and Network (CTCN). The CTCN is the operational arm of the UNFCCC Technology Mechanism, promoting the accelerated transfer of environmentally sound technologies for low carbon and climate resilient development at the request of developing countries.
This forum is an occasion to develop and strengthen the regional network of NDE’s and their relationship with other technology stakeholders, with a view to identify matchmaking opportunities to secure funding for follow up actions for the CTCN to support in the Pacific.
The CTCN is working in partnership with SPREP, and the Government of Tonga to host this upcoming event.
