Intensive climate change and environment discussions were the order of the day yesterday at the ministerial level of the Melanesian Spearhead Group.
Fiji’s Environment Minister, Colonel Samuela Saumatua, chaired the meeting which was attended by regional partners- Vanuatu, Papua New Guinea, Solomon Islands and Front de Libération Nationale Kanak et Socialiste (FLNKS).
Colonel Saumatua said discussed at the meeting were the four main pillars of the MSG Declaration on Environment and Climate Change by our leaders which was signed last year in March.
