MAJURO — The latest Marshall Islands feature film produced by Majuro residents Jack Niedenthal and Suzanne Chutaro premiered in Majuro over the weekend, with 1,100 people lining up to watch the 80-minute film over two days.
Called “Jilel — The Calling of the Shell,” the film dramatizes Marshall Islanders’ fear of sealevel rise through a young girl who is given a family heirloom shell with mystical powers.
