WASHINGTON, D.C. (Press Release) — U.S. Department of the Interior’s Assistant Secretary for Insular Areas Esther Kia’aina will visit Guam from June 1 to 7 where she will confer with Guam Gov. Eddie B. Calvo and other leaders on a range of policy issues and convene the U.S. insular areas climate change stakeholder meeting.
Nearly 90 officials from the U.S. territories and Freely Associated States, federal agencies, higher education institutions, and key non-governmental groups, will meet to discuss efforts to develop and strengthen climate change adaptation and resiliency plans and strategies for the insular areas.
