EU reiterates commitment

CELEBRATING Europe Day in Lautoka this week, the EU's deputy head of delegation for the Pacific Johnny Engell-Hansen reiterated their commitment to Fiji and the Pacific in terms of access to education, clean water and addressing climate change issues.

Mr Engell-Hansen said the EU was united in its diversity where every member country had an equal voice much like Pacific Island countries. "The Pacific Island countries are faced with many of the same challenges and I am pleased that we are close allies in confronting them," he said.
