his past week I was privileged to represent the Volunteer Army Foundation in Fiji at the Pacific Platform for Disaster Risk Reduction.
The joint meeting hosted pacific leaders, academics, youth and emergency managers from right around the pacific for 5 days of dialogue. The topics covered disaster risk reduction, preparation, response and recovery + Climate change. “The Roundtable was the first time that the two principal pacific regional conferences on disaster risk management and climate change have been combined.” – UNISDR
