A declaration outlining actions to tackle Climate Change is circling the Pacific Island countries for support before being delivered to world leaders at COP 23 in Bonn, Germany.
Organised by 350.org, the Pacific Climate Warriors Declaration on Climate Change is calling for a transition from fossil fuels to 100% renewable energy, urgent finance for countries facing irreversible loss and damage, exclusion of the fossil fuel industry at the climate negotiations, and an increase in efforts to limit global average temperatures rising to 1.5 degrees from pre-industrial levels as per the Paris Agreement.
