The Pacific Centre for Environment and Sustainable Development (PACE-SD) under USP is a centre that empowers people in the region to research and find solutions to address climate change in the Pacific and pursue sustainable development.
PACE-SD deputy director Dr Morgan Wairiu said PACE-SD has worked across the Pacific region and also across the universities working in collaboration with the other faculties and schools and institution centres in addressing climate change issues.
"In doing so we work across 15 Pacific Island countries and we have staff members in all the countries such as Cook Islands, Federated States of Micronesia, Fiji, Niue, Samoa, Solomon Islands and the rest of the countries," Dr Wairiu said.
