South Pacific Sea Level and Climate Monitoring Project: Phase IV

South Pacific Sea Level and Climate Monitoring Project: Phase IV

Abstract:

SPSLCMP: Phase IV builds on the achievements of Phases I, II and III. The goal of Phase IV is to continue to provide for partner countries an accurate long-term record of sea level variability and change in the South Pacific that enables them: (1) to respond to and manage related impacts; (2) to manage their near-shore and coastal resources sustainably; and (3) to develop policies and strategies for responding to long-term trends. The current phase of the project began in January 2006 and runs for five years, as indicated above. It is expected to cost $9 million, plus GST.
