Abstract:
This report was produced jointly by the UN Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA Pacific), UNICEF and Applied Geosciences & Technology Division of the Secretariat of the Pacific Community (SPC/SOPAC) to clarify the possible humanitarian impact of the persisting La Nina conditions might have on the population of Kiribati in order to prepare national and regional actors to mitigate and/or respond to developing circumstances.
This report is based on inputs from and experience of key government stakeholders and development partners in Kiribati, as well as regional partners, and based on research and analysis of rainfall data and earlier research and project documentation.
