This presentation from Geoscience Australia summarises the  assessment of tropical cyclone risk in the Pacific region that was done as part of the PCRAFI Initiative (part of the PACCSAP Programme). It covers the risk assessment framework for evaluating impacts, Circulation Models, Peril matrices, changes in cyclone intensity and behaviour, the SOPAC Catastrophe model, and estimated financial losses from cyclones.
