Abstract:
There is no single approach to improving the ability to of FICs to effectively respond to climate change. This paper provides a suite of options that can be considered by Pacific Island countries to meet their diverse needs, aspirations and capacities. Implementation of these options, particularly at the national levels requires further country and donor specific considerations.
Creating actions against the detrimental effects of climate change is a complex undertaking. Building a body of evidence and knowledge must be seen as an on-going process in a rapidly evolving environment.
