Description

This climate change risk assessment considers the potential climate change impacts that may affect the rehabilitation of Lambulambu Wharf, in the Western Province of the Solomon Islands. It aims to improve the resilience of transport sector investments in the Solomon Islands by building the capacity of the Solomon Islands Government to incorporate climate risk analysis into transport infrastructure project identification, design, construction and maintenance. The Lambulambu Wharf rehabilitation is a priority project for the Transport Sector Development Project (TSDP0), having been previously identified for rehabilitation following comprehensively damaged after the 2007 earthquake and tsunami. This assessment has been prepared as part of the development of the project, and was based on preliminary design concepts for the wharf. This publication was developed with support from the Pacific-Australia Climate Change Science and Adaptation Planning (PACCSAP) programme.
