The Fijian Government, with the support of Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ), developed the Planned Relocation Guidelines to assist and guide relocation efforts at the local level. By doing so, Fiji is one of the first nation States to develop a national framework that guides the relocation process.
