Description
In Fji: The principal expected benefit for the health sector is having a functional Health Information System that is capable of generating Early Warnings for climate sensitive diseases and communicating these effectively to relevant stakeholders. The project will also: create awareness amongst communities; further strengthen interdisciplinary collaboration and communication within all levels the Ministry of Health; strengthen inter-sectoral collaboration at all levels with other key government agencies (such as the Fiji Meteorological Service anf the National Disaster Management Office) and organizations such as the IFRC-RC. The project contributes to the revival of the Fiji Climate Change Country Team to ensure proper coordination of climate change activities in the country.
