Enhance the competence and capabilities of the local population, the national governmental authorities and regional organizations - SPC and SPREP - in order to cope with the effects of climate change and combat its causes. It includes reviewing policies and integrating adaptation considerations into them, and focuses on the management of land and coastal natural resources, as well as tourism. At the regional level, the program aligns with the Pacific Island Framework for Action on Climate Change 2006-2015. Originally only involving Fiji, Tonga, Vanuatu, the project has been expanded and extended.
