SPREP and ADB Foster Relationship on Knowledge Management

Text

The Secretariat of the Pacific Regional Environment Programme’s (SPREP) Climate Information Knowledge Management Specialist Philip Marsden met with representatives of Asian Development Bank’s (ADB) Knowledge Sharing and Services Center in Manila, Philippines, in June to learn about ADB’s extensive and innovative knowledge sharing efforts.

The informal exchange fostered the transfer of knowledge and experiences between the knowledge management team at SPREP and ADB’s Knowledge Sharing and Services Center in an effort to continuously improve knowledge management offerings in both organisations based on best practices applied and developed globally.

SPREP would like to thank ADB’s Knowledge Sharing Center for making time for this valuable exchange on 6 June 2017.

The Climate Information Knowledge Management Specialist position is seconded to SPREP by Deutsche Gesellschaft für internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ), and is tasked with improving the user friendliness of the PCCP and national climate change portals in the Pacific.
