Objectives
AFD is financing a project called RESCCUE (Restoration of Ecosystem services and adaptation to climate change), implemented by SPC on 7 pilote sites in Fiji, Vanuatu, New Caledonia and French Polynesia The overall objective of this regional project focuses on improving and sustainably funding integrated management of coastal zones in the Pacific islands.( www.spc.int/resccue). AFD has also financed technical assistance through SPREP to Small Pacific Islands to produce their INDC for the Paris Conference (COP 21), and finance a high-level assistant to SPC on climate change and sustainable development.

Application Procedure
Applications are submitted by the local contracting authorities to the AFD offices that identify the project. A feasibility study, including a technical study, marketing survey, and financial projections, are carried out.
