Description

Abstract:

The principal objective of the training manual is to provide an introduction to mainstreaming climate change into development planning for high level government officials, the private sector and nongovernmental organizations (NGO). It is designed as a 2-day residential training course, based around case studies and documented guidance material readily available from various development partners. The intended outcome of the training course is to convince key decision makers that it is not only desirable to mainstream climate change into national development planning and budgeting but also to illustrate that there is a wide variety of tools and guidance on how to use those tools, which will help to make mainstreaming become a routine government activity.
